During this joyful Easter Season, I would like to greet you and wish you every blessing!
For the past 8 Months, we have had the opportunity of receiving Deacon Vincent Vu, from Pope John XXIII National Seminary, and Deacon Borja Miro, from the Society of Jesus, studying at Boston College. We have interacted with them at different Masses and at our various baptismal celebrations. I am very sure that we all enjoyed their presence at our Parish.
I would like to thank everyone in the parish for the opportunities you gave our Deacons to grow in their pastoral skills, while preparing for their Priestly Ordination.
Now it is the time to say goodbye to both of them, as they are going to their Dioceses of origin for their Priestly Ordinations; let us keep them in our prayers. Deacon Vincent Vu shall be going to the Diocese of Brooklyn in New York where he will be ordained as a Priest on June 4, 2022 and Deacon Borja Miro SJ, will be going to Spain, his country of origin where he will be ordained as a Priest on June 11. 2022.
Besides our Deacons, we shall be saying goodbye to Fr. Gustavo Monzon SJ, who will be returning to Uruguay, his native country, after finishing his studies at the Boston College. Fr. Monzon has been a great asset with our Spanish Community for some years now. We wish him the very best of luck. We look forward to having Fr. Borja Miro SJ, continue the tradition and bond forged between us and the Faber Community at the Boston College.
I would like to thank all our children who have received and shall be receiving their 1st Holy Communion this May. In total we shall have 40 children making their 1st Holy Communion. It was not easy to do Faith Formation on Zoom and to interact with the children. All the same, our Faith Formation Team did it by collaborating with their parents. May you keep the Light of your Faith burning!
We are deeply grateful to the members of the Faith Formation Team for the wonderful job you did to enable our children to reach their great and very special day. Thank You so much.
Fr. Chacha, SMA
