Lent 2023
Dear Parishioners,
With the reception of Ashes on our foreheads, reminding us we are dust and into dust we shall return, we began the Lenten Season, a time to listen, reflect and discern what the Spirit is speaking, through the Scriptures.
The Lenten Season is a journey of 40 days to prepare us to celebrate the Easter Festivities. This special time is a moment of soul searching, self-training and self-discipline enabling us to discern what is essential in our lives.
I would like to thank you all for your generosity toward the 2022 Catholic Appeal Campaign. The good news is that we succeeded in reaching the target given to us. Remember, the Catholic Appeal is a very important tool of Evangelization for the Archdiocese and the support of our Parish. I am kindly asking you for the same support and generosity for the 2023 Catholic Appeal.
For more information on how to give to the Catholic Appeal, see the Video on our Website.
I would sincerely like to thank our Parish Maintenance Team, led by Jaime Orellana, for taking charge of our facilities. I want to especially thank them for redesigning the toilets in the lower hall to fit the need of the times and for giving of their time and skills in caring for the different facilities. We are all sincerely grateful for your wonderful work.
Starting next week, on March 6, 2023 and for the remainder of the Lenten Season, the 12:15 PM Mass previously held on Monday – Friday will be discontinued. Only the 7:00 AM Mass will be celebrated.
