January Update

News January 30, 2023

Dear Parishioners,

The Year 2023 has already begun and is moving fast! I trust that that you all well. We had wonderful Christmas and New Year Celebrations. For the first time, after the two-year Covid hiatus, we had a Christmas Dinner offered for the Community! It was a wonderful opportunity to share meals and interact with people I haven’t seen for a long time and to meet others for the first time.

In a very special way, I would like to thank our wonderful Volunteers, and especially the Christmas Dinner Organizer, Holly Garcia, for working hard to make the celebration successful! Until last week, we had not met our 2022 Grand Annual Goal, of $20,000. As God is always gracious and touches people in different ways, we have raised $22,561 to-date! Thank you for your great faith and generosity as we work together as a Parish Community.

As for Christmas Collections, we were able to raise $ 6,705. These funds were directed to the Society of Africans Missions for the Works of the Missions and for taking care of the SMA Senior Priests. On behalf of the Society of African Missions, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude for your great generosity. May you all be blessed abundantly!

Once again, we have the privilege of receiving a Deacon, Peter Claver, a student from Pope John XXIII National Seminary. Deacon Peter Claver is from the Diocese of Columbus Ohio, as is Jason Fox. Peter will be coming to our Parish on Friday evenings and will return to the Seminary on Sunday evening. I wish Deacon Peter Claver a kind welcome to our Parish. As time goes on, you will get to know him.

God’s Blessings in all you do.
Fr. Chacha, SMA.
