Holy Week with Us!
After striving to renew our selves during the period of 40 days, at last we are approaching the Holy week.
Palm Sunday opens up the Holy Week on which we shall reflect on the last events of Jesus’ life on Earth, His Passion, His Crucifixion and His Death, and Resurrection after three days.
On Monday through Wednesday, Jesus shares His last time with His Disciples. He predicts His betrayal by Judah Iscariot, His arrest in Gethsemane, His crucifixion and His death.
On Holy Thursday, Jesus washes the feet of His disciples as an act of service and love.
On Good Friday, we remember His trial before Pontius Pilate and His death sentence.
Holy Saturday shall conclude the Sacred Triduum. In the Evening, we shall have the Easter Vigil.
On Holy Thursday our Mass shall be at 7:00 pm in the Upper Church. On Good Friday, Stations of the Cross shall be “Multilingual” at 3:00 pm in the upper church. The Spanish Community Stations of the Cross shall be in the Chapel at 3:00 pm. The Commemoration of the Lords Passion will be celebrated at 7:00 pm. The Easter Vigil shall begin at 7:00 pm, and there will be reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation. On Easter Sunday our Masses shall be at 8:00 and 10:00am in English, 12:00pm Spanish, at 4:00pm in Haitian-Creole.
I would like to congratulate our 8 candidates for receiving their sacraments at the Easter Vigil.
